Qld: State to be one MP short in parliament

By Barbara Adam, State Political Correspondent

BRISBANE, Feb 26 AAP - Queensland parliament will be one MP short when it sits in three
weeks' time, its first session since Labor's landslide electoral victory.

Outgoing Opposition Leader Rob Borbidge is expected to tender his resignation as soon
as the election writ is returned on March 19, one day before parliament is to resume.

Mr Borbidge announced his intention to quit politics "forthwith" on election night,
after he led the Coalition to its worst election drubbing in Queensland history.
